Lectures..
.. It's not about what our professors get paid for. It's about the ones that most of us frequently get from our parents. And for that matter, the frequency of me getting those educational, motivational, inspirational lessons is say - once per day. Infact, its more than that since mom, dad n sis play the roles of three different professors. Where else can you find such loving n caring family?
When there's nothing much to do; when there are no goals ahead, one tends to have a routine that I have one currently. Those 24 hours are spent sleeping, eating, shitting, watching movies, surfing, listening music, spending money on parties n movies etc. Virtual goals are what one needs at such times. These goals require one to make a target that may not even be there. But we only get to know that once we reach there. And the fun part, the learning part is the route that one follows to reach the destination. Because, sooner or later, we realize that there is no station,
no one place to arrive. The true joy of life is the trip and the station is only a dream that constantly outdistances us.
A good manager..
- doesn't start off on his destination without enquiring about the correct address
- doesn't pay Rs.50/ for something that's not worth more than Rs.30/
- doesn't go on a vehicle that has a possibility of shutting down somewhere on the way
- doesn't make excuses to hide his mistake
I did all the above today.. I'm learning from my mistakes.. I'll be a good manager some day..
Royal Enfield..
.. is a beautiful bike and I am in love with it.. But this love goes only until it asks for a repair..
- There are no easily available service centers and royal enfields' mechanics..
- And if by chance it goes out of order at a place where there's no mechanic around and u gotta pull it, drag it for sometime, then only GOD save you..
Having said this, I would still go for one when I buy a two-wheeler.. Afterall, it's a bike for THE MEN..
Useless Plenary?
Its all about the Annual Indian Congress Conference being held at the stadium next to IIIT Hyderabad. I'm so thankful to GOD that politics doesn't attract me.
1) Is politics all about wearing white kurta pajamas?
- These ppl look so artificial..
- Sometimes it feels that they are probably the best actors..
2) Aren't the politicians supposed to do things for the public welfare?
- No public conveyance available till 2 odd kms..
- Roads are build 1 week in advance to the minister's schedule of using that road
- There is no electricity in thousands of homes, but one won't find any place within the radius of 2 kms (with stadium as the center) that is in darkness
- Instead of police helping people to find conveyance, they shout at them - not to move on the metallic road. Instead, use the kachcha areas on the sides.
- Investing so much in just another meeting is definitely corruption. Instead, they could have used the money for the welfare of Andhra Pradhesh.
- Is there a board required every 10 meters indicating the way to stadium?
- What are those hundreds of hoardings all about? What after the meeting's over? Are they going to get dumped? Especially those that are cut in an artistic way to make Sri Rajiv Gandhi and Srimati Sonia Gandhi
- Why do they need to tell people that they did this and that for them?
3) Are politicians so un-civilized that they pee around in open?

Indian Politics is either not understandable or it sucks bigtime.

Where did this slang word
Horny come from? All those who've read
The Da Vinci Code should possibly know about it.. For the remaining, here is a short history :
An Egyptian GOD named AMON is considered to be a God of masculine fertility. It is represented as a man with a ram's head, and his promiscuity and curved horns are related to our modern sexual slang - 'Horny'... And the Egyptian Goddess of fertility is named Isis.. She doesn't have anything to do with the foundation of this 'quite oftenly used word'. Is it that the females are less inclined towards being horny :D
Why is it..
.. that most ppl I've come across like this car??
.. Probably because she's got a big ass :D
I actually danced..
Believe me or not, I actually danced on the eve of New Year.. Right from 31st Dec, 11:30 pm onwards uptil 1st January, 12:30 am on the Ambala's Sirhind Club's dancing floor.. I am not really a guy who dances much but then something really motivated me this time..
A little background abt the club is that its got a free membership for any defense personnel posted in Ambala Cantonment.. For civilians (as for my dad), they need to take memberships.. My dad's a life member and we are allowed to use the facilities that this club provides anywhere in India.. Its got a lot of branches all across.. Among others - squash court, indoor badminton court, tennis courts are the major ones that attract people..
My sister was trying her best to take me over to dance floor.. She wanted to dance herself but then she didn't have any company at that moment and I was the last hope.. I too was rigid enough to refuse ne bribes that she offered.. Now, these defense people, as I've seen are (or they act) really modern or something.. Most of them had their daughters in mini skirts.. I was stunned to see many girls with semi-covered bodies.. And that really was a driving force in itself.. I thot strongly that
what exactly am I ashamed of?? These girls can wear all kinds of dresses and roam around without any hesitation when on the contrary I am feeling ashamed to dance in fully covered body .. i immediately decided to go over to the dance floor.. and it was so bloody fun.. no more not-dancing at parties/functions.. AK's going to be rocking on the dance floors from now on..
The '06 new year celebration was so much fun.. All my family members were dancing together and having fun .. I'd love to see such celebrations in future..
Staying back home..
.. for even 4 days was hell full of relaxation.. yes, that's all.. it was jes 4 days back home this time.. but that was actually better than earlier times.. parents didn't really scold me for nething, afterall their dear beta's near them for a very short period of time.. and it was really fattening aish too.. i had non-veg on 3 out of 4 days ;) mind it, all 3 in different versions - home made, chilli and butter chicken..
5 of us had to board our train on 27th morning (6:40 am) from Nampally and fortunately/unfortunately, we woke up at 6:00 am.. none of us had packed our bags.. Nappy was the first one to get up and woke up the rest of us.. the scene was so full of chaos - everyone packing bags, running between the rooms and the loo, cleaning bags and filling it up with nething that seems kind of useful at that time.. by 6:15 am, everone was done packing.. now reaching stations was another problem.. luckily we had dear Ruchir with his car and dear Su to drive Gaurav's matiz.. but then, that wasn't all.. Matiz had an empty fuel tank.. fast heart beats were all that could be heard at that moment.. decided to reach Secbad by 7:00 am, Ruchir got petrol from a nearby filling station and finally we all zooomed at speeds of not less than 90 km/hr.. IIIT to Secbad stations in 25 minutes.. mind it, that isn't an easy job.. Kudos for Su and Ruchir that we reached 5 minutes in advance to the train leaving the Secbad station..
I found it amusing and narrated the whole story in front of mom n dad.. But that did hit me back when dad didn't allow me to drive the car from Ambala to New Delhi (200 kms) saying that I am still an irresponsible kid :(
Happy New Year
